작가 김학선의 ‘저 사람 무우당같다’를 각색한 작품으로, 연출가 홍무와 그의 가슴 아픈 가족사를 ‘굿’이라는 소재로 풀어낸 작품이다. 굿은 죽은 사람들을 아픔을 위로하기 위한 게 아니라 산 자들을 위한 축제라는 메시지를 담고 있다. 극중극 형식을 취하고 있으며, 현실과 비현실의 극적 경계에서 영상매체가 다양하게 사용되고 있다. 2007년 한국문화예술위 신진예술가 선정작으로, 대학로 아룽구지 소극장(2007.8.22-8.26)에서 상연되었다.

Title is 'Showman Shaman' meaning the actor is a shaman. It tells the sad family history of main chracter Hong-mu through a exorcism performance called 'gut'. In Korea, there is a sacred rite called "gut", having a long history and it has a very important meaning. Normally, 'gut' is a rite for the dead, but actually it is a festival for the living. In the boundary between reality and unreality, I used the play-within-a-play form.
