‘Culture Station Seoul 284 — The Memory of Space.’ A live performance imagining the old Seoul Station as a heterotopia.

옛 서울역 일대를 헤테로토피아로 상상합니다. 물로 가득 채워진 공간, 물 위에 투사되고 빛과 이미지를 반사하는 장면들 속에서 소리와 움직임의 도움을 받아, 제1·2대합실을 헤테로토피아로 상상한 라이브 퍼포먼스가 펼쳐집니다. 오픈 리허설 또한 공연을 위한 준비 과정으로서 전시 컨셉이 됩니다. 총 10회의 공연 동안 매회 서로 다른 주제로 진행되었습니다.

다뤄진 주제는 다음과 같습니다: 빈 방(Empty Room), 반복은 지루하다(Repetition is Boring), 나비의 가벼움(Lightness of Butterflies), 숫자들(Numbers), 속도(Velocity), 나이 들어감(Becoming Old), 군집(Cluster), 리듬(Rhythm), 소통(Communication), 도처가 극장이다(Everywhere is Theater). 관객은 부츠를 신고 입장하며, 오후 5시에 시작하는 공연은 정해진 종료 시간이 없습니다. 작업은 12대의 TV 모니터를 통해 아카이빙됩니다.

The area of old Seoul Station is imagined as a heterotopia. Through a space filled with water — projecting on water and reflecting light and image, with the help of sound and movement — a live performance unfolds in Waiting Rooms No. 1 and No. 2. Across 10 performances, each explored a different theme: Empty Room, Repetition is Boring, Lightness of Butterflies, Numbers, Velocity, Becoming Old, Cluster, Rhythm, Communication, and Everywhere is Theater. Audiences enter wearing boots, and the performance — beginning at 5pm — has no fixed ending time. The work is archived across 12 TV monitors.
