A performance imagining a future of coexistence between humans and machines, through the myth of Galatea.

‘갈라테아 신화를 통해 본 인간과 기술의 공존의 미래’. 대부분의 로봇 신화는 종말론적인 이야기를 담고 있습니다. 인간은 기계 장치를 노동을 대체하는 수단으로 바라보곤 하지만, 갈라테아 신화는 기계 장치를 함께 살아가는 동반자의 관점에서 바라봅니다.

‘갈라테아’의 장면들은 비트루비우스 인간, 알파고, 사물인터넷, 가상 거울이라는 네 가지 테마로 구성되었습니다.

‘The Future of Coexistence: Humans and Technology Through the Galatea Myth.’ Most robot myths contain apocalyptic stories, and humans tend to view mechanical objects as a means to replace labor. The Galatea myth, however, views mechanical objects from the perspective of companions living together. The performance’s scenes were composed around four themes: the Vitruvian Man, AlphaGo, the Internet of Things, and a virtual mirror.
